One of my favourite things to eat for breakfast is a big bowl of creamy porridge, it's not only filling but super cheap to make and oh so delicious! I personally love to make my food look as pretty as possible, I've just always found it enjoyable! I love adding fruit into the oats as they cook, it not only adds flavour but also a lovely colour but I find some fruits just don't add the texture I want. This is how pink mylk was born!!
So one day I opened the fridge to find my strawberries were starting to turn, I didn't want to cook them into my oats because I didn't want them to go mushy so instead I added them to my blender with water, dairy free milk, vanilla and cashews to make a creamy pretty pink mylk (it also smells incredible). I added this to my oats and cooked it slowly so the oats went super soft and creamy. Honestly this is a game changer in the porridge world. You can thank me later!
All you will need is:
Half a cup of milk (I used gluten free oat milk)
One cup of water
One cup of strawberries
1/4 cup of cashews
A splash of vanilla
1/2 cup of oats
Then any toppings of your choice!
Method:
This is super simple so there are no needs for steps! Simple add all the ingredients apart from the oats to a blender, make sure the mylk is nice and smooth. It should be a light baby pink colour! If you like your porridge a bit thicker just add a little less water.
Add your oats to the pan with the pink mylk and cook on low until it's all soft and creamy, almost like a pudding texture.
Pop it into your favourite bowl, I topped mine with banana, freeze dried strawberries and a tiny bit of granola! Then breakfast is complete, it's so so delicious and it's now my new favourite breakfast!

If you do happen to make this yummy breakfast bowl tag me on instagram! I can't wait to see your creations!
Speak to you soon,
